Virtual private servers
Virtual private servers or the VPS in whatever name it is called have their own special characteristic features. One of its features is that it is isolated in nature. The virtual private servers have in fact become one of the common sandboxes that are usually used for the public services that are defined to be in insecure or for the updated testing. The system in which the virtual private servers function can be understood better with the help of an easy example that is when a single individual physical server has two virtual private servers depending up on it for its functioning that is one server hosting the production-level websites and another one that screens a copy of it. Generally when any updating are to be altered in the software then the user can alter in the second virtual private server rather than the first one which helps him to avoid the unnecessary requirement of many physical servers. The virtual private server also functions as honey pots that are it allows the system or the machine to run the software though it is aware of the security flaws but at the same time it does not affect the rest of the system. The Linux virtual dedicated servers generally follow the system of securing the resources that are inside the partition. Each partition is usually known as the security context and the virtualized system with which is present in it is called the virtual private server. For descending into the chroot like utility security context is provided. For boot starting a virtual private server it does not require a lot of process it just involves few steps it is as simple as kick starting it in a given new context of security and the shutting down process is also very simple.
